First though, let’s get something completely straight. I HATE these “gaming download centers” that we all hear about. I always have.

Now this is a guy who’s opinion I trust. In fact, he’s notorious in my circle of friends for not spending ANY money for anything unless it’s absolutely top notch, which is why I even took a half-assed glance at it in the first place...

We've got to admit though, With the thosands we pay for media entertainment, that's a prospect no sane person would walk away from, if it is, indeed, legit.
I have tried three programs like these before, and, not suprisingly, I have been scammed by programs like these before. In short, I'm not new to any of this.

More often then not, sites like these aren't all they're cracked up to be. Some in fact, are outright scams. When I buy something, I'm in no mood to be disappointed.

They are often riddled with enough spyware, spam, and viruses to send even a mac to an early grave.

The poor fool who heard about these download services for the first time thinks, "Wow! I can get anything I want out of 95 million files?" That's a BIG number! Here's my credit card information!"
So....when this friend e-mailed me practically demanding that I download this "gamer media download" thing, I checked it out. Like I said, the only reason I did so was because he was normally spot-on with things like this.
When I reached the GamerMediaDownload web site, I was startled with the features. Good layout, good customer support, gigantic library of media and games, great user reviews...
But, to keep my no BS approch, I have to be honest with you...,

And that was that; I left the site. I didn't even bookmark it...
A few days later, he messaged me again, letting me know he had caught up Prison Break, LOST, Dexter, and a few others totalling over $240 worth of HD TV shows. He had also caught up on a number of movies he had been waiting to find in the bargin bin and was playing a free copy of Grand Theft Auto San Andreas while listening to some Chris Brown tunes he had downloaded for his iPod and PSP..
He has more than gotten his money's worth with his first download, he said. As of his e-mail, he had done it eight times over!
He also said that I needed to drop what I was doing and get the software. So, I spent the excess in my Paypal account and half-heartedly purchased my copy of Keyword Elite.
He said I needed to drop everything I was doing and get a copy of the software.
So, I spent reluctantly spent the money and half-heartedly put my hands on my copy of GamerMediaDownload..
I should mention that I only purchased this becaus frankly, money isn’t that big of an issue for me. I was about to toss it aside and save it for a day when I had the flu and didn't feel like doing anthing else, when my friend started up again.
This time though, he started pestering the hell out of me.
He made it clear he wasn't going to quit until I gave it a fair chance. I decided to humor him by giving GamerMediaDownload a shot. So, I pulled it back out and began playing around with it...

I was plesently impressed when logged in for the first time. Aside from it actually working, It was set up nicely, which is something that can't always be said about other sites.
After doing a simple search for Transformers, a simple click was all that it needed to get started. That seemed simple enough!
I found that the library certainly didn't disappoint by any means. Because users can add content, TV show episodes were available for my PS3 and 360 almost as soon as they appeared on TV! I've also yet to find even one mp3 that I can't pull up.
Having fresh brand-new media on my console, as well as staying current with the latest LOST episode for free wasn't that bad at all. In fact, I really started to enjoy it!
I was happy to find both seasons of Dexter and Weeds readily available. I don't get Showtime at my home, so this was great!
That was when I began to realize this is no simple "program". To say this program is "gigantic" is a gross understatement.
Just so you don't think I am exaggerating the scale of GamerMediaDownload, here are some of the features of GamerMediaDownload.

What I found, was....interesting...
Despite my hate for mediadownload services, I now stand corrected. Criticism is a blast to write, and talk about. But GamerMediaDownload simply can't fall victim to criticism. There's a reason for that.
In short, GamerMediaDownload collectivly blows all other gaming download networks out of the water. Don't even bother with any of the others, GamerMediaDownload is the undisputed king.
I was planning on ripping my Prison Break DVD's to my PC, converting them, then transfering them to my PS3. With GamerMediaDownload, I did a search for it, looked it up, clicked on it, then went to sleep.
Next morning, I had all three seasons. Not bad! That was simple enough, and a HUGE time saver!
